We visited the Thackray Museum because we are learning about Florence Nightingale. When we arrived we were led to a classroom, (it was massive)! The lady told us about Florence’s life. Then we found lots of things in a basket, like a scrubbing brush, blood-soaked bandages, cuffs and a candle. Then we sorted them out into groups, one of them was things she took to the hospital and one was things she found. Soon after we passed round Stinky Smells. HORRIBLE! Next we went to the Scutari Hospital. It was so hot I fainted. The girls did all the work NOT FAIR! Luckily it was lunch time. This is my best part. We got to explore! I did a running thing, it shows how fast your heart beats. I did a food thingy and lots of other things. Finally it was time to go back to school. What a lovely day!
